Aftrak AFT-e1
8 kW from a 5.2 kWh battery you can swap in under a minute. PTO, sixteen attachments, no fuel.
One machine does it all
A PTO and rotating handlebars mean front- and rear-loaded tooling across five task groups.
Tillage5 toolsRidger, rear tine cultivator, potato digger, mouldboard and reversible mouldboard ploughs.
Power tillage4 toolsPTO-driven. The rotary plough and power ridger work to 30 cm depth in hard soil and sod.
Transport2 toolsTrailer and sulky. Five hours of haulage on one charge.
Mowing & harvesting3 toolsCutter bar mower, flail mower and harvester, up to 120 cm working width.Malawi from the air: the array, the village it powers and the ground the tractor works.
An economy in a box
Four elements, each one funding the next. Solar charges the machine, the machine makes better ground possible, better ground raises the yield, and the yield pays for the energy.

1.3 kW per module, around 7.5 kWh a day. One module charges a tractor; more modules power homes and a community.

8 kW through the PTO. Mechanisation at a scale a smallholding can own.

Climate-smart methods the machine makes practical, including Tiyeni's Deep Bed Farming.

Farmers move beyond subsistence, and buy the energy that started the cycle. Then it repeats.
Sites and deployments
Every Aftrak deployment in Africa, written up the same way: the site, the equipment and what it changed. Three are live or funded today.
