Four solar modules, one community tractor
Community site · Emisizini, Malawi · 4 modules · 1 tractor
Ploughing, with the panel that charges it riding along.
Emisizini is where the whole system runs together — panels charging a tractor that works the same ground the panels stand on.
The site
Emisizini is the demonstration site: four solar modules and one tractor, shared across the community rather than owned by a single holding.
It is where the two halves of the Aftrak system are proved against each other. The modules charge the machine, the machine works the ground, and both are measured on the same site rather than in separate pilots.

The work
Ridging and ploughing on slope, in dry red soil — the ground that decides whether a small battery machine is useful here or not.
The panel travels with the machine. Charging is not a separate errand back to a building; it happens where the work is.
