Aftrak were runners up in the Innovation in Sustainability category, for combining solar microgrids and tailored tractors to empower smallholder farmers.
Aftrak were runners up at the Leicestershire Innovation in Sustainability award. Their approach — combining solar microgrids and tailored tractors to empower smallholder farmers across Africa — was recognised in an award promoting low-carbon products.
The award was hosted by Loughborough University and sponsored by De Montfort University, the University of Leicester and Loughborough University, in March 2024.
