Aftrak Solar Installation

At Aftrak we believe that access to energy and education is a fundamental right.

We are launching a series of community solar array installations at no cost to the communities that receive them.

Primary School

400+ Students attending

Walking up to 15km to school

No Electricity
No Lighting
No Water

Aftrak has selected a school in northern Malawi for our next microgrid. We aim to provide clean, reliable electricity and are raising funds to make it happen. Access to electricity is a basic human right, and we're committed to making a positive impact in the communities serve.
The school is currently running two sessions a day with approximately 400 students. Despite the lack of electricity and internet, all lessons are taught with dedication and passion. While some classes have desks, others sit on the floor, and with no lighting, school can only take place during daylight hours.
Aftrak will establish a microgrid comprising six solar modules that will provide reliable and sustainable energy for lighting, phone charging, and internet access to all school buildings and shared accommodation for teachers.
